At the height of the summer the presence of the fire element makes us aware of our connection to the world and with all beings who draw sustenance from the earth air water the sun, moon, planets and stars. On July 13th we’ll honor and celebrate this special time of abundance with a special yoga class that will explore how all of the elements relate to the fire element and how these influence our chakra energy centers and flowing meridian currents. Incorporating asana, movement, chant and the Resonance Repatterning ™ process; we’ll reveal a new refreshed awareness of our ability to live in harmony and with inspiration in this world. Suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners.

A Multi-Level Hatha yoga class open to
persons of all ages and abilities; it will explore the "how to" and the
benefits of reclining, seated, standing, twisting, forward/backbending and
even inverted poses along with the exploration of pranayama* and meditation.
Deepen and expand your ability to focus
your awareness: learn to develop and sustain energy, inspiration and
calmness. Improve your sense of balance, physical strength and flexibility.
(*Pranayama-traditionally defined as
"breath control" can also be interpreted as, "opening to the flow of the
Universal Energy.")
See how you can benefit from the
practice of Hatha (“sun, moon”) yoga in both your personal life as well as
in any field of endeavor - athletic, artistic, scientific, technical or
otherwise.
In these classes we’ll become more aware
of our breathing throughout all practices. These will include vinyasa - the
popular linking together of poses in flowing sequences; Sun Salutation A, B
as well as the Moon Salutation.
We’ll become familiar with the benefits
of the 6 Tibetan Rites for Health and Longevity. We’ll examine how we can
integrate the attitude, principles of alignment and action of the Anusara
(“stepping into the flow”) approach to yoga, developed by John Friend, into
our experience of various asanas (yoga postures). We’ll develop mindfulness
about honoring both our unique abilities and limitations in order to prevent
injury.
